Dielectric heatsink for railways
New technology development
Thermally conductive dielectric solution in composite material for High Voltage Dielectric Heatsinks, low Partial Discharges, for railways (used by Deutsch Bahn and Ferrovie Italiane).
The prior technology was made by sheet of insulant pressed by blocks where was mounted the IGBT and other power electronics. The sheets was covered with cheap resin, craking with the dilations and vibrations of the train wagon. I’ve invented the Brega Index that resume the two charatestics required: thermal trasmission and electric insulation an developed an innovative solution that deliver high thermal conductivity, high dielectric safety, very low partial discharges.
